Ayodele Odusola has been in top-leadership and management positions for nearly three decades as Resident Representative, Acting Resident Coordinator, Director of the African Sustainable Finance Hub, Chief Economist for Africa, UNDP Development Advisor for Africa, Corporate Chair on the support to Least Developed Countries, and UN Technical lead to the Tokyo International Conference on African Development.

Since June 2019, he has served as the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative for South Africa and the inaugural Director of the UNDP Africa Sustainable Finance Hub, covering 46 countries, where he leads UNDP in pioneering the future of development in Africa.

He is a champion of human development with a strategic focus on high-impact solutions to simultaneously address the triple development challenges of joblessness, poverty, and income inequality while helping to build community resilience to cope with climate change and economic
vulnerabilities.
