New Hampshire is a famously elusive state for politics, with more than 40 percent of the state's voters independent and up for grabs until the last minute. It's also vitally important, as the first-in-the-nation primary.

VICE News' Michael Moynihan spends the week leading up to the New Hampshire primary immersing himself in the state's famous "Live Free or Die" culture to find out what's at stake, and see the fight to win over independent voters.
