Laser welding has not only become a global standard in car body construction, but is also increasingly being used in rail vehicle construction. Tactile laser optics significantly improve the quality and efficiency of welding.
To ensure the highest precision and best results, many manufacturing companies rely on tactile seam tracking systems such as the Modular Process Head MPH Tactile from ABICOR BINZEL. This highly advanced system was developed together with our partner PT Photonic Tools GmbH. Tactile laser optics are able to position the laser beam precisely on the joining edge using the wire tip as a sensor. This guarantees excellent welding and brazing quality at high joining speeds.
The WELDEYE high-speed camera system guarantees reliable quality assurance in tactile laser welding. It was developed in collaboration with ABICOR BINZEL's cooperation partner Lessmüller Lasertechnik GmbH and ensures that every welded seam is a quality seam. It detects all visually recognizable irregularities during the welding process. This holistic process monitoring enables the user to react quickly and optimize the welding process. Time-consuming troubleshooting is a thing of the past. In this way, the quality of the weld is continuously monitored. Both live images and video recordings are available for analysis, enabling optimum quality assurance.
