Vice President Kamala Harris made her first campaign appearance with her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz on Tuesday hours after selecting him to join her 2024 ticket. The rally took place in Philadelphia and weeks after Harris herself officially launched her presidential campaign after President Joe Biden announced he was dropping out of the 2024 race. During the rally, Harris announced that she received enough votes to represent her party in the 2024 race. "I stand before you today to proudly announce I am now officially the Democratic nominee," she told the rally.
