Well, you know the rules around here. If Leo Hickman suggests it, I have to do it. So this week for #waltzwednesday we have the fan favorite, Margaret’s Waltz. This lovely melody was written by Pat Shuldham-Shaw, back in the 50s, in honor of Margaret Grant on the occasion of her retirement from the English Folk Dance and Song Society. I think Jay Ungar taught it a lot and I know Aly Bain played it a lot so clearly it comes highly recommended. Oh and on a personal note: things are good around here, for the most part. We do have some friends and family members who are facing some health challenges of various sorts so there’s that. We’re trying to stay positive. I’m teaching someone or something seven days a week now so I’m staying off the streets. And all these waltzes are helping me keep a calm demeanor. How are you?
