After removing the screen lid, place the hinges in 90 degrees open screen position.
Have everything ready: quick set two component epoxy, tooth pics, paper tissue, two Philips screwdrivers, original screws for both hinges and broken plastic bolts and other parts…
Screw back tightly the broken hinge screws to the broken bolts on hinge plate.
Mix the resin and generously fill the area where the hinge bolts will be set to place. Don’t make a mess… Use tooth pics… As many as you need…
Now, you have only seconds to place the screen back and set it properly. If you have to, practice first not using the epoxy. If not confident in your own abilities, take it to a good service place.
Screw back the lid on the good hinge side.
Position exactly where the hinge originally was. Set the broken hinge in the resin and press using two screwdrivers.
Hold and do not move until resin sets. Do not move, do not blink… In my case, six minutes.
You are done… Don’t be brutal now, gently handle the screen… Something like when hedgehogs make love…. :)
It will take another day for resin to cure fully.
Now, just assemble it back…
That’s it…
