I have some news to share with you. #Snowpiercer is coming to an end after season 4. TNT has decided to wrap up the series after 4 seasons. I wasn't at all shocked when this article came out. TNT came out and said the network decided to stop producing scripted series so I was actually expecting Snowpiercer to end with season 4. So I knew the official news of the final season of Snowpiercer was coming, but I didn't want to be true. Good post-apocalyptic tv shows are hard to find. They tend to drag on forever and by the time it does end, people are grateful because the series turned into something entirely different by time the last episode aired. Or got worse season by season. So maybe this is a blessing in disguise, I would rather Snowpiercer have 4 amazing seasons than 6 total seasons, half of which suck.

I would have been okay if Snowpiercer ended with season 3. Everything seemed to wrap up nicely. If I didn't see the season 4 renewal video, I totally would have thought season 3 was the end. I also do think they intentionally made it seem that way just in case Snowpiercer was canceled after season 3. They could have gotten rid of the final scene, which was a teaser for season 4 and it would have felt like a series finale. So if season 4 ends up sucking, then I will do everything I can to convince myself the season 3 finale was the series finale and try to forget about the last season.

However, this doesn't mean Snowpiercer will end with season 4. The series could be renewed by Netflix since Snowpiercer is also a Netflix Original. Plenty of series have been saved by Netflix. Just take a look at Manifest and Lucifer.
