Full disclosure: this song had only been out two hours before I did this video. As such, I don't know how to play it. Please focus on the tone, not the terrible playing. I really didn't know how to play this and it's not my best. I hope the tone tips at least help those who can play it get the sound.
In this video, we will try to recreate the guitar tone from Cure by Erra. We will build the preset on the Neural DSP Quad Cortex.

I am definitely not Jesse Cash. Please excuse me; I didn't know how to play the song properly in this one. I love Erra's guitar tone and rushed right into things; this is as raw as it gets. It has been largely the same on the last couple of albums, which is good, because it's very much just a hi-gain amp and Tubescreamer style pedal. The real secret to Erra's guitar tone is Jesse Cash and how phenomenal of a guitar player he is. I believe he also uses a pitch-shifting pedal to tune down, as he primarily plays in Drop F# most of the time.
The settings outlined in this video will allow you to replicate the tone on other modelling devices like the Line 6 Helix, Fractal FM3 or Fractal FM9. You could also get this tone on Neural DSP plugins like Archetype: Gojira, Archetype: Nolly or any other plugins with hi-gain models (Rabea, etc). Any amp modeller (software or hardware) would be able to get the tone for this song and album.
