September of 2015 brought a plethora of long passenger trains into Cincinnati, Ohio. This included the Cincinnati Railway's annual Labor Day "Fireworks" train as well as the American Association of Private Railroad Car Owners (AAPRCO) convention train. In this video we first see a deadhead move of the coach section of the Fireworks Train along Indiana & Ohio's Lebanon and Mason Subdivisions. Next we catch the 17 car Fireworks train along I&O's Oasis Subdivision. For the first time on the Fireworks train, the coach cars were combined with the consist of the Cincinnati Dinner Train. Both of the Cincinnati Railway's GP30s, 901 and 902 powered the train.
Later in the month the 2015 AAPRCO Convention Special laid over in Cincinnati at the end of Track on Indiana & Ohio’s Oasis Subdivision. The train was traveling from Chicago to St Louis via Cincinnati. The train was filmed at Rendcomb Junction as well as Undercliff Yard where the Oliver Hazard Perry was switched into the train by NKP 901.
