Most babies who are about three months old will want to eat three to four ounces every three to four hours. It's hard to tell exactly how much your baby is drinking when you're breastfeeding. You can guess that ss probably about how much your baby is drinking but some babies like to eat less more frequently. So there are some three-month-olds who still want to eat every two to three hours during the day, hopefully not at night. The thing with breast milk is that it is more quickly digested in a baby's tummy than formula so babies who are breastfed, generally speaking, may want to eat a little more frequently than formula fed babies. Hopefully at night now your baby is sleeping about a good four to six hour block, sometimes even seven or eight hours by three months but if not your baby is still normal and hopefully -- do know this, around six months of age babies start to sleep better as their eating patterns and sleep patterns start to regulate and become more predictable. So generally speaking your baby should probably be breastfeeding every three to four hours during the day and hopefully giving you an opportunity to sleep at night.
