05:34 - 08:30 Bidentate ligands examplea : Example : oxalate (oz-) (symmetrical) five or six membered chelating rings make the complex highest stable.
08:31 - 11:05 Glycinate ion(gyl-) NH2CH2COOH -------- NH2CH2OO- (glycinate ion)ion(gly-).It is a unsymmetrical bidentate ligand .
11:06 - 15:15 Ethylene diamine (en) To act as a bidentate or apolydentate ligand ,there should be proper orientation of donor atoms so that lone pair can be donated to central atom.
Azide atom cannot act as bidnetate ligand .There is no proper orientation so these two nitrogen wil act a smonodnetate ligand.

Dimethyl glyoximate ion(dmg or dmg H-)

CH3-C=O H2NOH when 2H2O are removed from this molecule this gives dimethyl glyoxime which on further removal of H= gives dimethyl glyoximate ion.
20:44 - 25:11 [Ni(dmg)2](s) or [Ni(dmgH)2](s): Its structure is very important and it gives a rosy red ppt.Two intramolecular H-bonds per molecule .
25:12 - 28:20 Example-Acetylacetonate ion(acac-):Resonance hybrid forms the bond.N,O,F : decreasing tendnecy to donate lone pair
Eg: urea: NH2CONH2 donate electrons to central atoms.
28:21- 32:20 dipy or bipy(dipridyl or bipyridyl) , o phenenthrolene (phen),cathecol.
Resorcinol(meta position) and quinol (para position) cannot act as bidentate ligand.
32:21-36:08 Note: Some ligands show different denticity in different complexes known as flexidentate ligand.Through resonance they will delocalise.
