On January, 7, 2022 at 11:47 PM an Officer was inside a bar in Jacksonville Florida, Officer James Phillips was inside the bar "The Lucky 7" dealing with a report of a belligerent drunk that assaulted a customer. The customer couldn't talk due to his jaw being broken. The officer was about to ask the bartender what happened when shots began to rang out. At that time the drunk came back into the bar and started shooting. Officer Phillips and the drunk, later identified as Hector Sebestian, were involved in a shoot out lasting about 45 seconds.
2 Citizens were killed and 5 others were injured.
Officer Phillips survived and the suspect died from his wounds later in the hospital.
