In an interview with Fox News on Wednesday, MBS has put on some weight on the suspicions that an ongoing civilian nuclear program could be diverted for military purposes if Saudi Arabia felt under threat. Questioned by Fox News about the prospect of an Iranian bomb, the crown prince said "We are concerned of any country getting a nuclear weapon", adding that if Iran did successfully develop a weapon "We will have to get one". This will give a tough time to the Biden administration-if Saudis ask for US cooperation for its nuclear program because US needs the Saudi cooperation for the Saudi Israeli normalization deal-which contains incentives for the US.
