DEWALT 4 in 1 Multi Tacker
DEWALT Stapler Review DWHTTR410
The folks at DEWALT recently released two new manual tackers -- models DWHTTR130LH and DWHTTR410. We took a look at the later.
We'll refer to the DWHTTR410 as the DEWALT 4 in 1 Multi Tacker because that is what it is "four tools in one."
First Impression:
Most staple guns that I've used require strong forearm and grip strength to operate. Operation over long periods of time is torture and most people opt not to use a manual stapler for mass staple fastening.
DEWALT took an ordinary tool and made it extraordinary!
The DEWALT 4 in 1 Multi Tacker is an aluminum frame, extremely lightweight and compact stapler with a newly designed handle which provides the user an easy to squeeze handle. so easy almost anyone could operate it - they redesigned the handle 30 degrees lower.
The DEWALT 4 in 1 Multi Tacker accepts four fastener styles:
light staples [From 1/4 - inch to 3/8 - inch]
heavy duty staples [From 1.4 - inch to 9/16 - inch]
cable staples [From 3/8 - inch to 9/16 - inch]
18 gauge brads [From 1/2 - inch to 5/8 - inch]
A selector switch provides the user the flexibility to choose between high and low power settings for fastener driving.
Video Review:
Impressive Features:
Several features on the DEWALT 4 in 1 Multi Tacker allow the PRO and serious DIY-er to fasten materials faster, more accurately and efficiently.
Fastener Pinpoint Placement Arrow:
Two arrows on either side of the business end of this stapler mark the exact location of staple / fastener placement. this is extremely helpful especially when you're trying to install a fastener ins a small or narrow location.
Low angle Handle:
The handle is super easy to squeeze and operate - this is one of the BEST features! No more cramping hands and aching forearms.
Cable Guide:
There us a curved guide at the front of the tool that is used to straddle cable wire prior to stapling. This guide ensures that the staples straddle the cable and do not damage the wire sheathing.
Staple Reload Window:
A convenient window on both sides allows you to see the fasteners and as the fasteners run out a red indicator takes it's place. No more guessing!
Fastener Selector Mode:
Located on top of the tool this switch allows the user to easily and quickly select the fasteners to be driven
Belt Hook:
Talking about a tool having a belt hook sounds trivial but this belt hood is the real ma-coy - At approximately 2-1/2 inches long, its beefy, effective, reversible and removable.
Using the DEWALT 4 in 1 Multi Tacker
This tool is faster and easier to use then older model staplers. The hand is super easy to squeeze.
While I don't see myself using the brad nailer some folks may. Loading the staples is a cinch and the pinpoint placement made for easy installation of screen material in a wood screen door repair.
