Passover—a celebration of freedom—the Jewish commemoration of God “passing over” the houses of the Jews during the last of the ten plagues described in the book of Exodus, when the LORD said to Moses, “Tell the whole community of Israel ... each man is to take a lamb for his family one for each household. Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs ... and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.” In a celebration lasting seven or eight days, Jews will share in one of the most well-known holidays on the Jewish calendar, remembering the story from the book of Exodus in a feast of freedom!.
