Have some AlloyGators you're looking to install? Not quite sure how? No problem we're here to help. Here is a video showing what you need and to do, to install AlloyGators on your wheels.
In this method of installation we are performing it on the vehicle while it is in the air. As AlloyGator is a wheel accessory that spins at high velocity we recommend going to one our Official Trade Partners listed on alloygator.com/us or alloygator.com/ca.
Tools for install:
Jack or Hoist - for lifting car off ground
Air Compressor
Dead Blow Hammer
Cutters (Milwaukee PVC Pipe Cutter)
Pry Bar / Tack Puller
Glue
Before you install please see our prep video at: [ Ссылка ]
Our best practice is using a Tire Machine as it allow for an easier install and more flush depending on your wheel and tire. If you are installing on very stiff run flat tires, the a Tire Machine is strongly recommended. Please see our install video for that: [ Ссылка ]
AlloyGator Installation - Bullet Points.
1) First Deflate the tire letting all air out and clean the wheel.
2) Lubricate the wheel and tire area and the gator itself. This allows it to get in between easier. Soapy water is shown however we recommend using tire lube / paste as it is meant for tires.
3) starting at the valve, Insert the tail end between the wheel and tire. Hold in place and use your dead blow hammer to start knocking it in.
4) go all around hitting on the outside to get it.
5) now hit it again this time on the inside which will drive it further.
6) at the point where the 2 ends overlap mark where you will cut.
7) we suggest cutting a little to the right of your cut as you can always cut more off if you need to.
8) there should be a gap of 2 - 5mm in between the 2 ends, (not including the teeth / tail) which will allow for stretching.
9) place some glue on the teeth and mesh the 2 ends together, ensuring the teeth are connecting properly
10) Pump the pressure up to 10 - 15 PSI. Once applied, go around the wheel again striking on the inside of the Gator pulling towards you.
11)pump the air up to vehicle spec and
repeat the hammer strike process.
12) Apply 3 dabs of glue to the finishing tab and place over the gap.
