(11 May 1978) Turkish Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit told West German President Walter Scheel that his country was interested in private foreign investment. Ecevit met the president for about thirty minutes on the second day of his official visit to West Germany. Ecevit and Scheel also discussed the Turkish-Greek conflict over Cyprus, Turkey's relations with the nine nation European Common Market and questions of European trade policy.
