The Great Exhibition, which was held in London’s Hyde Park in the huge Crystal Palace between May and October 1851, showcased over 100,000 items relating to art and technology… some of which were odd, unsettling and in some cases, downright creepy.
Here are five artefacts from the Exhibition’s darker side, including medical horrors, a sinister clock and an early example of the dreaded ‘Uncanny Valley.’
