Within this presentation we compared the S&P 500 with the SPXEW for comparable market breadth. We then discussed some of the concepts of selling puts and how traders may potentially use them to generate income. Specifically, we looked at comparing 2 sets of stocks both within the same industry, one a recent leader and the other a laggard. Next, we chose to place 2 sample short put trades based on an internal poll. Lastly, we discussed potential gains, risks and some of the option greeks in the thinkorswim paperMoney platform.
