In this video, I show 4 simple steps on how to fix your PS4 controller stick drift. Stick drift on a PlayStation 4 controller is caused, most often, by dirt or particles in the sensor of your analog stick.
First step to fixing stick drift is by resetting your PS4 dualshock controller. There is a small button on the back of the controller that you hold for 5 seconds to reset the controller. Then you plug in the controller into your PS4 console to resync it.
The second step is to take a cotton swab or compressed air and clean around the edges of the inside of your analog stick to clear out any particles that might be confusing the sensors.
The third step is to press in on both analog sticks for 10 seconds and then rotate them clockwise for 10 seconds and then rotate them counter clockwise for 10 seconds and then press them in again for 10 more seconds.
The last step is to replace the analog sticks. Unless you're skilled with replacing technical components, I don't recommend this method. You may want to buy a new controller. I hope the first 3 steps worked for you and you can enjoy your gaming without stick drift.
