What does the anatomy of a successful strategic plan look like? What objectives and initiatives should serve as the pillars of the strategic plan for your school?
In this video Rani and Samantha talk about the first strategy of bringing your strategic plan to life, crafting the right objectives and initiatives. A big part of a successful strategic plan is responsive planning which means that school leaders are developing a plan that can adapt and pivot over the years to meet the changing needs of the school. In order to do this, school leadership and management should consider the current state of their district and what challenges it might face in the future to create a sustainable system that flexes with change.
We talk about the anatomy of a strategic plan in this video by breaking down each step that your school or district should be going through when creating their strategic plan for short and long-term changes. District leaders need to consider how school priorities might change over the next 3-5 years and plan accordingly as well as build systems that make it easy to receive feedback to alter the plan as needed.
