A common misconception I hear from my clients is that they think out-of-state traffic tickets don't matter. Unfortunately, if you live in a state or got a ticket in one of the 46 states in the driver's license compact, your out-of-state traffic ticket will matter. Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, Tennessee, or Wisconsin are the four U.S. states that are not in this compact. If you ignore the ticket, a warrant for your arrest could be issued, and/or you wil face severe fines.
