Often patients present with abdominal pain or vaginal bleeding during the first trimester of pregnancy. This can be a risky situation for the patient since ectopic pregnancy is still on of the leading causes of death during the first trimester of pregnancy. In this case we review a patient who presented with vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain while pregnant in the first trimester.
We see in this study that the patient had a twin gestation intrauterine pregnancy (IUP) at 6 weeks 5 days with subchorionic hemorrhage.
