Then chances of recovery from cervical cancer depends upon what stage we have diagnosed the patient within very early stage, that is stage zero, where the chances of survival are more than 90%. As the stage increases, the chances of survival starts coming down, like if somebody is diagnosed in the first stage, the chance of getting cured is about 80 to 85%. Similarly, if it comes to second stage, the chances of cure is about 55 to 60%. In third stage or it may be about 35 to 40%, whereas in the fourth stage, here we do not call for cure here. We use a term called as five year survivorship, which in a fourth stage person can be 15 to 20%.
