Learn the core competencies of social and emotional learning (SEL), including practical examples for the classroom and the home. This series defines and explains six core competencies — self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, responsible decision-making, and future self — and is suitable for professional development and parent training.
Social-Emotional Learning: Relationship Skills
Learn to help students develop key skills for successful relationships: communication, cooperation, and conflict resolution. Educators can help students develop these skills by working together in groups and discussing roles. Parents can support their children by spending time with them and encouraging communication.
