Title: Japan′s Supreme Court rules in favor of Korean A-bomb victims
We start with news of that landmark decision in Japan...
The Japanese Supreme Court has ruled that three surviving Korean victims of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombings are entitled to full compensation for their medical expenses.
It′s the first time full compensation will be paid to victims who live outside of Japan.
The ruling puts an end to a four-year legal battle against the Osaka prefectural government.. which said the Koreans did not qualify for compensation because they were not receiving treatment in Japan.
The prefecture added it could not verify the validity of the medical treatment they received.
The high court dismissed the argument as flimsy.
The ruling is expected to affect similar cases that are currently ongoing in other Japanese high courts.
Title: Korea, China, Japan set to hold working-level talks on trilateral summit
Senior government officials from South Korea, China and Japan will meet in Seoul next week to prepare for a trilateral summit between their countries′ leaders.
Korea′s foreign ministry says a deputy director general-level meeting will be held on September 15th to discuss the timing and schedule for the event among other issues.
During her visit to China last week, President Park Geun-hye and her Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping agreed to hold the three-way meeting around the end of October or the beginning of November.
It will be their first three-way summit since May 2012, when the annual meetings were halted due to Japan′s continued distortion of history.
Title: Capsized boat to be salvaged if weather conditions favorable
Authorities will attempt to salvage a fishing boat that capsized off Korea′s southern coast last weekend.
The Coast Guard says it is ready to start the operation as soon as today.
However, it added the plan could be delayed if bad weather conditions continue in the area.
The Coast Guard also says it will expand the scope of its search for the eight passengers still missing.
There are fears they could have been swept away by strong currents.
The fishing boat was found capsized on Sunday morning after losing contact about half-an-hour after it left Chuja Island, north of Jeju.
