Q: What is a manifestly unfounded claim?

A: A manifestly unfounded claim is a term introduced in the Protecting Canada's Immigration System Act for those claims for which the decision maker is of the opinion that they're false. Claimants whose claims are considered to be manifestly unfounded will not have the right to appeal to the Refugee Appeal Division.
