Yusuf Nyanzi and Hussein also face charges of murder for the deaths of Katumba's daughter Brenda Nantongo and his driver Haruna Kayondo on 1st June this year.
They appeared in Nakawa Chief Magistrates' Court in Kampala. Nyanzi is a suspect in the murder of former police spokesman Andrew Felix Kaweesi in 2017.
He had been released on bail by the International Crimes division court but was picked up from his home about 2 weeks ago, accused of committing a similar crime.
They were remanded to Kitalya govt prison after the Chief Magistrate did not allow them to plead to the charges as these are capital offences. They will return to court on the 3rd/August/2021.
