This is how the weather can actually make you unhappy, because of seasonal affective disorder.

So for years I was actually noticing I was always more unhappy in my mood around the winter time, cold dark weather.
So I started to investigate if there was a link between my mood and the weather / time of the year.
After some digging and searching I found out that there is a condition called Seasonal Affective disorder that impacts a person mood based on the weather type.
Usually and commonly associated with dark grey and winters weather types of days were shown to impact the mood and motivation along with mindset of a person.
There are a few causing factors like sunlight being a major one, and also the body’s regulation of serotonin and melatonin.
As the weather change can create feelings of depression and lowness in a person, especially someone who is dealing with mental health issues.
There are ways to help with this, like getting a sun lamp and adding more daylight exposure into your day.
