There was a poor farmer in Erding, Germany, who struggled to make a living, so he worked many hours every day. His neighbor, who was also a farmer, lived at a large farm.

One day the poor farmer asked neighbor how he was successful and earned so much money. His neighbor trusted him and shared that his success was owed to the fact that he kept the Blessed Sacrament in his house. The poor farmer did not understand the faith and he thought that Blessed Sacrament was a type of amulet (good luck charm).

The poor farmer decided to copy his neighbor and he went to Mass on Holy Thursday in 1417. After he received Holy Communion, he hid the Host in a cloth and left the church. Briefly, he felt guilty and regretted his action, so he decided to return it. On his way back to church, the Host slipped out of his hand and disappeared into the air. He looked for it everywhere but could not find it. He hurried to the spot where the Host was and it was not there. He ran for a priest and the priest saw the Host resting on a clump of dirt, emitting a bright light. When he reached for the Host, it flew up into the air and disappeared.

The priest told the Bishop, and he wanted to go to the site of the miracle. The Bishop tried to pick the Host up but it flew up into the air again. Both Bishop and townspeople decided to build a new chapel in honor of the Eucharistic Miracle.

In 1675 pilgrims decided to build new and large chapel in beautiful architecture style. Two years later on Sept 19 1677 Bishop Kaspar Kunner from Freising blessed the new church and was honored to the Most Precious Blood.
