Introducing Adega do Ataíde - our new low-impact winery at our Vilariça Valley estate, Quinta do Ataíde, located in the east of the Douro.
This new state-of-the-art winery was inspired by our long-term commitment to sustainability and innovation. Designed to be highly efficient in energy and water use, the building is integrated into the surrounding landscape and organically-farmed vineyards.
It is the new home for all our premium Douro DOC red wines, which include those from our Quinta do Ataíde and Quinta do Vesúvio estates and our Altano Reserve, Organic Red and Organic Rosé.
After 6 years of meticulous planning and building the winery, we are thrilled to have opened its doors for the very first time this harvest. Over the next few weeks, we will introduce you to our exciting new project and the elements of sustainable design that make this winery so unique - concluding with a summary of this harvest and the first wines made here.
