Day 2 of the bluefish tournament was certainly a challenge. We had some snotty conditions this morning which didn’t make fishing easy.
We ventured off to the fishing grounds early but eventually decided to move closer to land and look for any signs of activity.
We found bunker pods inshore and were seeing lots of splashes but unfortunately no blues were biting.
Managed to catch a Black Sea Bass to take care of the skunk but it wasn’t what we were fishing for.
No winner this yet but we’ll be back out in the tournament again next year!
$25,000 bluefish winner this year was just shy of 18lbs.
We’ll catch the winner next year!
