This is part 1 of a video showing me scoop out a seat for an oak stool that is also shown in some of my other videos. Much of the work is in realtime. There are so many tips in the two videos I encourage you to listen completely through. At one point my card scraper is dull and I stop briefly to show my sharpening method. I also show a little known tip on using a paint scraper for serious stock removal and finish scraping. Many techniques are shown, chisel work, paring, spokeshave, scraping, planing, design thoughts, etc etc.
