Tanya Simuni, MD, is the director of the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Center, chief of Movement Disorders in the Department of Neurology, and the Arthur C. Nielsen, Jr., Research Professor of Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders at Northwestern Medicine. Dr. Simuni discusses her work in developing therapeutics to slow the progression of early Parkinson’s disease and the future of treatment of movement disorders.

“The field is more active than ever, with a large number of experimental therapeutics being tested specifically with a focus of slowing progression of Parkinson’s disease,” said Dr. Simuni. “And we are one of the few centers, probably nationally and internationally, that is participating in really the most exciting experimental therapeutics programs.”
