Want to pray for new customers and sales for your business? These simple, effective, and gentle prayers will help you start the conversation with God.

It's important to state that if your desire for sales success, or to attract more customers, is based on greed, then it is not likely God will respond positively to your prayer. 

The Apostle James reminds us, "You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight.

You do not have because you do not ask God.  When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures" (James 4.2-3, NIV).

So, when you begin to pray to God about establishing new sales goals, or laying out a strategy for bringing more customers into your place of business, be sure to consider the reason you are doing it.  Obviously, you want to make enough money to stay in business and take care of your family and those around you.  That is your desire and God honors that:

"Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37.4, NIV).
