(5 Dec 2013) Belgium's Queen Mathilde met with Hong Kong's Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying on Thursday as part of her first official visit to the city as queen.
Belgian deputy prime minister Didier Reynders joined them for the bilateral meeting before an official dinner at the Government House.
Earlier the Queen spoke at the opening event of the annual Business of Design Week in Hong Kong, where Belgium was partner country this year.
Local media reported that the queen was accompanied by a 300-strong trade delegation that included Reynders and some of the country's top designers and businessmen.
Mathilde arrived in Hong Kong on Wednesday on a three-day visit as part of her first Asian tour since ascending the throne four months ago.
