U2 is an Irish rock band that formed at the Mount Temple Comprehensive School in Dublin, Ireland in 1976. The band members include: Bono (lead vocals and guitar), The Edge (guitar, keyboards, and backing vocals), Adam Clayton (bass guitar), and Larry Mullen Jr. (drums and percussion).
Within four years, the band signed with Island Records and released their debut album "Boy" in 1980. By 1987, The group's fifth album, "The Joshua Tree" , made them international superstars. It topped the music charts around the world and was named their greatest critical and commercial success. U2 has released 13 studio albums, sold more than 170 million records worldwide, and have won 22 Grammy Awards!
