Your child may relate well to male or female teachers. If they feel dislike towards one the whole effort of hiring a tutor goes to waste. Make sure your child's preference is taken care of and don't force any decision upon your child so that he also feels involved and it become his decision. Remember you cannot know how the relationship between your child and tutor would be; you need to give it a try and in case it doesn't work out try out a new tutor. We all know children can be stubborn and in some cases unwilling to learn, so make sure you understand the difference between persevering with the tutor and giving up too early on a tutor who might make a difference to your child's education.
