David Hoffmeister, a Master Teacher of A Course In Miracles, teaches "How to See You're Dreaming a dream."
Everything that you see in this world is a motion picture of our mind. If you believe you are alive on this planet, you’re living in a dream. Everything you see in this world is part of the matrix, the dream. If we want to know the truth about ourselves, we need to go within.
Like Neo in the movie, The Matrix, we sense that something is not quite right with the world and we want to know the truth. Morpheus needed to guide Neo within. To show Neo just how his thoughts created his reality, Morpheus plugs Neo’s mind into the construct, a learning program.
Using projected form, this program ultimately shows that there is no objective world apart from mind. It’s all thought. The body is the digital projection of Neo’s mental self. Like Neo, we confuse thought with form. Quantum physics shows us how this works.
To think I am a body in a world separate from other bodies is projection. There is ultimately no separation. Believing so made a lapse of Reality, which continues to make this dream world seem real. Therefore, we need to question our belief in concepts: you, me, us, them, cats, dogs, Hitler.
In order to uphold the illusion, there needs to be interaction, something to attack and be attacked by. This proves there is a victim and therefore our need for protection.
The reversal of this thought process is what the mind training in A Course in Miracles is for. ACIM teaches us not to judge, but to let everything be as it is. The Holy Spirit is in charge and we let all things be as they are. This is the healed perspective.
