Redistricting impacts the way people are represented in our democracy. Gerrymandering is used as a political weapon to undermine who voters choose to represent them—it disproportionately affects Black, Latinx, and Indigenous communities. In order to protect the rights of voters, Congress must pass legislation that will increase transparency and put a cap on gerrymandering
