Single optin is a straightforward process where users sign up for your email list by simply entering their email address into a subscription form. This method offers ease of use and quick signup for users, but it may lead to higher instances of fake email addresses or incorrect email addresses on your list.
On the other hand, double optin requires users to confirm their subscription by clicking on a verification link sent to their email after signing up. While this method adds an extra step to the signup process, it ensures that your email list is filled with engaged and genuinely interested subscribers.
However, you will have less subscribers confirming confirmation and could result a high percentage of pending email addresses in your autoresponder.
Single optin or double optin has the advantages and disadvantages but my recommendation is to go with single optin as it will grow your email list faster and its easier to setup.
