Ohio Wildlife Center is dedicated to fostering awareness and appreciation of Ohio’s native wildlife through rehabilitation, education and wildlife health studies. Education was so important to Dr. Donald. L. Burton, founder of Ohio Wildlife Center, that in 1999 with a $150,000 annual budget, he convinced the board of trustees to purchase 20 acres of woodlands and meadows for an outdoor nature center and wild animal sanctuary. In 2016, we expanded opportunity for children and adults to enjoy the Center by building The Bonner Barn - a new learning and event space. Generous support for this exciting feature was received from the Barbara and Bill Bonner Family Foundation.
