Diversity and inclusion is an integral part of our company’s culture. We embrace diversity by being more inclusive, creating a workplace that provides equal opportunities for everyone and that treats people with dignity and respect. This includes gender balance, which remains a key component of our approach.
In recent years, we have made progress in increasing the number of women in managerial positions. With our Nestlé Gender Balance Acceleration Plan, we are putting further emphasis on increasing the proportion of women in the group’s top 200 senior executive positions from around 20%, in March 2019, to 30% by 2022. This is another step in Nestlé’s journey towards gender parity. In order to achieve this goal, we are focusing on three key areas: bold leadership, enabling practices and empowering culture.
