The golden ratio is something many graphic designers an artists alike use, but few understand it. This video by Satori Graphics looks into if the golden ratio is a lie, or if it's actually useful to us designers. The results are quite surprising. Is the golden ratio flawed and useless? I personally have never used the golden ratio on a single design, across 15 years of working as a graphic designer. I don't think it's useful in most situations, and it confines a designer into a box in terms of the creativity that they have. It's a tool sure, and probably has a time and a place. But the golden ratio isn't what most people think, and it isn't even able to exist in a 3D space. But hey, we go into great detail about the golden ratio and Fibonacci sequence in the video.
