BW Integrated Systems’ Robotic Top Load Case Packing Cell features three, 6-axis Delta-style robots, machine vision for product locating and conveyor line tracking for product and cases. Cases are metered into the cell (wide side leading) and into flights for locating and line tracking purposes. Product arrives into the robot cell (bottom leading) and passes through a machine vision camera while positional data is fed to each robot for picking accuracy. Depending on the case load, product can be loaded standing up for display cases or lying flat for bulk load. Each robot loads a portion of the case as it is within reach of. Cases are filled by the time they pass the third robot and full cases exit the cell to be sealed.
