Colon cancer, also known as bowel cancer, can be diangosed with a range of endoscopic tests, such as a colonoscopy or flexible sigmoidoscopy. Both are very accurate in identifying cancers and abnormalities, and can also take biopsies, if needed.

You may also have a CT scan (either a CT colonoscopy or a plain CT scan) to assess for signs of bowel cancer.

Lastly, there are a range of tests that can be performed to assess someone's risk of developing bowel cancer. For example, blood tests or analysing stool samples.
