Hedy Lamarr (1914-2000) Was an Austrian born American actress an inventor. She was considered the most beautiful Woman of Hollywood's golden era and she's regarded as one of the greatest actresses ever.
She was co inventor along with the American composer George Antheil of a frequency hopping signal to prevent setting off torpedoe's guidance from the nazis. This brought to the begginings of the development of the WiFi, Blue tooth and GPS technologies. Sadly this discoveries were not recognized immediately nor used during the War and both Lamarr and Antheil were honored until 1997 with the Electronic frontier foundation's pioneer award. Until 2014, Lamarr was posthumously awarded with her inclusion in the National inventors hall of fame. Lamarr appeared in such great movies like Ecstasy and Samson and Delilah.
