My Tarot T-2D brushless gimbal arrived today, so I quickly mounted it on my DJI Phantom and went outside for a short test flight and video. I just plugged it in and went flying, no adjustments were made at all.
I never thought to buy an adapter plate beforehand, so mounting it was being a pain in the arse, but I ended up just using the included mounting bracket (made for a different style multirotor), tacked everything in place with hot glue, and then used some zip-ties to secure it.
The included mount lowers the whole gimbal quite a bit, which is good to try and keep the rotors and arms out of frame as much as possible. The downside is that it hangs about an inch below the stock landing skids so they need to be extended. I added some carbon fiber landing struts last week.
