1959 Fender Jazzmaster vs. Custom Shop
Hey guys,
This week's 'Focus On Sound' episode from Regent Sounds, brings you something very special, indeed. Here, we have an original, vintage 1959 Fender Jazzmaster, and a reissue of the same guitar - in the same colour - from the Fender Custom Shop. And if that wasn't enough, the amps we have to hand are equally impressive! A 1962 Fender Bassman, and an early, American-made Fender Blues Deluxe. The tones were stunning, as were the guitars! We hope you enjoy our overview, comparison and review video.
Which guitar do you prefer - the original '59 or the Custom Shop? Let us know what you thought in the comments, below!
Both are mic'd up with the amazing sE v7 series dynamic microphones, with room signal captured via a matched pair of sE 5 mics.
Please do turn up your favourite headphones or speakers to get a real feel for how great these two setups sounded, and feel free to leave us a comment with your thoughts, or even suggestions for the next video!
Adam and the Regent Sounds crew.
