My new book is out! It's called Massage Is Weird: [ Ссылка ]
If you've got a client with knee pain, consider all of the muscles that latch into the area. Even if most of the pain comes from the resident cartilage and ligaments, at least some pain will be associated with local muscles freaking out. We can deal with that!
Anterior knee pain is strongly tied to the quadriceps. Rectus femoris is always a safe bet, but the two vastus muscles may be more involved with pain off to one side or the other. "Melt" your way slowly through the tissue, and investigate for trigger points. Play around with different positioning and angle for the knee joint. Any change will affect the relationships of the bones, ligaments, and muscles, and may help you get bigger results.
As always, let me know what you think, and let me know what you'd like to see next!
